+ OVERVIEW
Roy Lichtenstein was born in New York. His creations are drawn from pop culture elements such as Popeye and Mickey Mouse, which just impresses the generation who love to read comics and are influenced by commercials, so that he became one of the pioneers of American pop art. This lot "The Haystack" was made in 1969, is composed of Ben-Day dots, the representative style of Lichtenstein, reinterpreting the well-known "Haystack" series of Impressionist master Monet.
