Recent curatorial projects include group show ‘IMAGRATION’ at Gallery COMMON, Tokyo, Japan, ‘PROVOKE - Opposing Centrism’ at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts, Taipei. Selected awards: Arte Laguna Prize, TDCC Contemporary Arts Awards. His works could be found in the collections of Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corporation, Taiwan Art Bank, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Cultural & Educational Foundation.
"Sisyphus' Soaps 1" features an image of a battleship cannonball being raised high alongside a white bar of soap. The image suggests excitement and jubilation towards war (akin to discovering an ancient artifact in the soil and proudly raising it), while the soap implies a cleansing action (the US Navy once claimed soap could wash away radiation). Despite wars persisting in the past, present, and future without respite, what we call cleanliness remains an escape as futile as Sisyphus'.
