Gioele Amaro (born in 1986 in Reggio Calabria, Italy) currently lives and works in Paris and Milan. He studied at La Villette in Paris and the University of Art and Architecture Mediterranea. Amaro has held numerous solo and group exhibitions across Europe and China. He describes himself as a "digital painter," using pixels in place of traditional paintbrushes to create his art. His digital works are printed on canvas, challenging traditional concepts of "painting" by transitioning from a virtual creation into a tangible object, thus blurring the lines between the real and the virtual. A unique aspect of Amaro's work is his incorporation of various forms and references from art history, which link his creations to artistic traditions.
