+ OVERVIEW
Caro Jost is a German Abstract Expressionism artist. She graduated from Literature and Law, Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich and Academy of Fine Arts, Munich. Her famous series "Streetprints" and "Invoice Paintings" are tracing a few generations of Abstract Expressionism artists, from Kandinsky to Jackson Pollack, Barnett Newman. Using their relics as materials to create, and using her own language to express her respect for previous artists.
Jost’s solo exhibition experience includes: "Traces" (Slewe Gallery, Amsterdam, 2017), "Invoice Paintings" (Walter Storms Galerie, Munich, 2017-2018), "A road to red, yellow and blue" (Bluerider ART, 2018), "Walk the Talk" (Galerie Britta Rettberg, Munich, 2019). Her artworks have been supported by Gabriele Münter Foundation and Barnett Newman Foundation, etc., and selected by MoMA Library Collection, New York; Chelsea Art Museum, New York; Museum of the City of Munich and other public institutions.
