Choi Eun Hyea, an emerging contemporary artist born in South Korea in 1983, holds a Doctor of Fine Arts from Ewha Womans University. Her works have been showcased internationally, including exhibitions in Korea, New York, Tokyo, Norway, Chicago, and Barcelona, and are part of the Seoul Museum of Art's collection. Choi Eun Hyea was 2014 Selected Young Korean Artists, The Bank of Korea, and SOMA DRAWING CENTER 6th Archival Artist in 2011. The artist had solo shows in Korea, Norway, and Chicago, as well as participated in many group exhibitions worldwide. Choi explores the world of human perceptions by reconstructing colorful images of lights and employing geometric forms to create layered visual spaces. Her compositions harmonize tranquility with gentle transformations and ambiguous boundaries, resonating like a melodic interplay of emotions that are based on her own memories.
