+ OVERVIEW
The theory of traditional Chinese medicine is largely different from western science, it is more like an idea, and this idea reflects the Chinese ancient concept of "Nature-Man-As-One".
Human is the most spiritual creatures among all, human is the nature, is the universe, and all of these are based on "Chi". "Chi" is not a substance, it's more like a "consciousness", it doesn't concern that much about the changes of substances like science, and it's about self-harmony, to be balanced with the "consciousness". This mysterious theory is not widely comprehensible because it is not a part of science, we don't believe things that our eyes couldn't see.
Li Hui once said about his works: "my works are not focusing on the sculpture itself, it's about an mysterious aura that derived from them, to present something's existence besides substances, the tracks of acupuncture points and 'chi'as well as the relationship between herbal and human, when our eyes see them, we might be shockingly discover that all of these we see actually exists within our body!" "Acupoints" had participated in exhibitions in Tokyo, Japan in 2004, it is also one of the works that exhibited in the "Fiction@Love" exhibition held in Museum of Contemporary Art in Shanghai in 2006.
