Fernand Bivel was born in 1888, Paris. He was a talented of landscapes, portraits and still-life. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français since 1912. After eight years, Bivel was awarded by the French government to be named as a Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur for his contribution in the art. Bivel’s painting was strongly influenced by the Pointillism and the Nabis. He used to describe the human figures, reflecting french bourgeois’daily life and the society of the early 20th century.
