+ OVERVIEW

Yang San-long loved drawing from the Nature since he was young. In his life, he completed a series of seascapes, especially sketches from the eastern coast of Taiwan. Yang's seascapes are majestic and spectacular and deeply inspired by Corot and Monet. According an art book on Yang San-lang, the artist still painted pictures in his 80-odd years old. Then he got up before the dawn. "... Pitou cape was bathed in the light of the morning sun. When the Sun rose quickly, its colors are vivid and varied. At the moment the old painter was fascinated1." The painting "Sunrise Seascape" depicts the sunrise by the seaside. The seawater is azure-blue in color and the waves are undulating. White waves, morning lights splash over the rock of the edge and the cliff on the beach. Viewer seems feel a taste of sea breezing and warmth of the sunrise while facing this fine painting.
