Adam Lister received his B.F.A. in painting from The School of Visual Arts in New York in 2003. Inspired by the 8-bit graphics of Atari and Nintendo game consoles, Lister's unique style deliberately avoids all use of diagonal and curved lines and echoes the geometric structure of Cubism. Lister selects the recognizable artworks or popular cultures icons to deconstruct their images by his methods.
