Blue is Chu's favorite for base color, it is the color of the ocean and the sky. It' s decent and poetic, and could create the atmosphere between the worlds. "Door of Opening" created in 1988, is dominated by a blue color palette. By this time, the art of Chu Teh-chun had already transformed from saturated ink and expressionistic strokes of calligraphy into a perfectly integrated form of visual representation.
