A PAIR OF SAPPHIRE DUCK AND TURTLE CANDLE HOLDER QIANLONG AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Each of narrowed cylindrical section with the uppermot drip pan with conical ends intended for the placement of a candle above a duck with its beak slightly agape, its feathery wings wide spread, standing upon a turtle and a snake, all supported on a larger round drip pan encircled by a frieze of leiwen on the everted rim, all supported on three ruyi-shaped foot, the recessed base gilt with a four character reign mark.
