A RED OVERLAY GLASS BOTTLE VASE ON A SNOWY WHITE GROUND QIANLONG AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
Carved through the red overlay with oval panels of flower sprays issuing from rockwork, the neck encircled with further panels with flowering blossoms, all against a ground of undulating foliage scrolls. Compare with a very similar snowflake white vase with red overlay, illustrated in Selected Treasures of Chinese Art. Min Chiu Society , Hong Kong Museum of Art, Hong Kong, pl. 224, pp.460-461.
