Born in Taipei in 1976, Chou Yu-Cheng is known for his diverse artistic language, such as spanning painting, installation, performance, and publishing. He graduated from the National Taiwan University of Arts and the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. Notable awards include the Taipei Arts Awards in 2012 and the Annual Visual Arts Award at the Taishin Arts Awards in 2011. Yu-Cheng's early works reflect his taste, characterized by geometric shapes and gradient colors. His art has been exhibited internationally, including solo shows at TKG+ in Taipei (2023), Kate MacGarry Gallery in the UK (2022), and group exhibitions in the Lyon Biennale (2019) and the New Museum New York (2015).
