Alfred Ma is a professional traveler, explorer, photographer and writer, now working as a contributing photojournalist for National Geographic Magazine. He lived in New York from 1980 to 1986, and frequented the studio of Walasse Ting, Taipei Fine Arts Museum and galleries. When Ma showed his photographs to Ting at Ting’s studio in 1982, Ting collected Ma’s “Lotus” and gave the photographer his “Love Me Love Me” as an artistic exchange.
