Mario Mankey is a Spanish contemporary artist born in 1985 in Valencia. His work pushes the boundaries of abstraction and realism, manifesting the underlying contradictions between person and primate. His work focuses on the Anthropocene, created and accelerated by patriarchal system. Mario approach human behaviors that he find disturbing, highlighting the eternal inconsistencies that characterize the modern individual as a result of their ambitions and limitations. His works adopt different formats such as installations, canvases , street murals, comic books and are subject to any new challenge that might arise, being always loyal to this biting relationship.
