CHIN Hsiao-Yi 秦孝儀
Taiwanese 1921-2007

Born in Hunan, Chin Hsiao-Yi pursued early education at home, and studied history and Confucius belief. He created Qin calligraphy and was a renowned calligrapher and politician. After studying law in Shanghai, he obtained PhD in Human Science at the University of Oklahoma. He took up the role of Deputy Secretary General and Director of the National Palace Museum. He organized a solo exhibition at the National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall from 10 September to 3 October 2004.
