Born in 1945, Anselm Kiefer is a critical artist for the second half of the 20th century era, his works are strongly related to the themes of historical evocation, reference to mythology in addition to the deeper insights with ethnic conflicts. He confronted the Nazi ruling and challenged the ideology as reflected in his works where there seems to be conflict between the two. Kiefer is a well-balanced artist as his oil paints, sculptures; installations have been widely exhibited globally.
