Maja Djordjevic born in 1990 in Serbia, lives and works in Belgrade and London. Djordjevic completed her Bachelor and Master studies at Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Selected solo exhibitions include in Taipei, Shanghai, London, Los Angeles, Athens. Djordjevic has received two awards for Painting, the former being the Ristai Beta Vukanović prize and the latter from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Djordevic’s work has been included in notable art collections, such as Mwoods Museum, Beijing; X Museum, Beijing; Blanca and Borja Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection, Madrid. Djordjevic’s work combines traditional oil painting techniques with the computer-aided aesthetic of MS Paint. Directly engaged with net art and feminist figuration.
