Asa Go (born in Kanagawa, Japan, in 1978) is a Japanese ultra-contemporary artist known for her painting and sculpture. She graduated from Japan Women's University of Fine Arts in 2003 and, in 2006, received a Japanese government scholarship to further her studies in New York. Her debut exhibition was SPOT! Japanese Contemporary Art at Gallery Ihn in Seoul in 2008, and her latest exhibition was Spring Accent: Japanese Contemporary Art at Whitestone Gallery Taipei in 2020. Go’s works are frequently showcased in Japan but have also been featured in exhibitions in South Korea and Hong Kong. Recently, she has participated in multiple international exhibitions, including notable ones such as DOMANI: The Art of Tomorrow 2009 at the National Art Center Tokyo and shows at Gallery Tsubaki in Tokyo and Whitestone Gallery in Hong Kong. She has exhibited alongside artists like Mayuka Yamamoto and Chika Hattori. Her works, characterized by a soft pastel green palette and a fairytale-like atmosphere, evoke a sense of gentle melancholy and solitude.
