Kuang Zhongying was born in Hunan Changsha in 1924 and was recognized as a Taiwanese Chinese artist residing in the US. He followed Zhang Daqian in art practice and was heavily influenced by Zhang in art practice. He was well acclaimed in seal script, pocai in ink and oil paintings. His works were exhibited in Taiwan, Japan and the US, and were kept in national collections at the Kaohsiung Museum of Fine Arts and the National Museum of History.
