Born in Poland in 1987, artist Olga Szczechowska has been actively participating in exhibitions since her inaugural solo show in 2012. Szczechowska is the auther of the cover for the Polish cultural magazine "Notes na 6 tygodni" (#106). Her illustrations have also graced the pages of magazines such as "G'rls room," "Kukbuk," "Contemporary Lynx," and "Visegrad Insight." Szczechowska's paintings portray a minimalist and serene nature, evoking silence and crafting an elegant, delicate, tranquil, yet expansive universe. Her compositions, inspired by landscapes, assume an almost-flat quality in her artworks. She deftly achieves an extraordinary balance between two contrasting spatial sensations. The simplification of forms, however, in no way diminishes the harmonious interplay of vibrant paint textures. Instead, viewers can wander through the landscapes by following the artist's meticulously composed geometric rhythms. In recent years, Szczechowska has dedicated herself to the art of collage, drawing inspiration from landscapes and still lifes. This endeavor is the result of her experimentation with shapes, textures, and colors.
